Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. The music she grew up with was traditional and old boleros, along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. At age 16 she started singing and studying music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. In 2000 she moved into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. The passion and love she has for music, art, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Choir for the permission to sing classic Latin American song.
