Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21 in 1983) is a famous American actor. She is most famously known for her role appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV show and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. She was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school after her parents split up to move into Los Angeles to live with her mother. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first part as Rachel's Room's title character the video on-demand series Rachel's Room in 2001. The TV film Murder in Greenwich, in which she played 15-years-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the main actress in Lost during its initial two seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace, who had worked together with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, was looking to go into film. The actress has also appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 and in Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She reprised her role for Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the leading role in Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series in the final two episodes, playing Shannon. She was in 2013 for the sixth season of Californication. She plays Faith as a female groupie as well as a model for stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as younger that Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens she appeared in small roles in films made by her father. She also she co-starred alongside her brother in Donnie Darko which is a famous cult film. The year 2002 saw her starred as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received nominations for an Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) and in the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both movies were critically acclaimed. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006 including World Trade Center she received wider recognition for playing Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). She was nominated as the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mother as she appeared in Crazy Heart. After that she continued to play in comedies as well as dramas such Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and Will Not Back Down (12). Other roles she has played includes Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 an action thriller) and actors in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018), and the role of the kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The drama about psychological issues won the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. It was also nominated to be awarded the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
