Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. At the age five she relocated from London to Oxfordshire where she attended The Dragon School. Emma decided to be an actor at age six. Over the course of several years, she attended the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing as well as dancing, and also acting. By the time she turned 10 years old, Emma took part in numerous Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The film adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was first cast for very first time back in the year 1999. Agents for casting found Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight consecutive auditions. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. It also was one of the top-rated films in 2001. Its opening days and weekends of sales were record-breaking. Reviewers praised the film, particularly the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance. Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the film.
